End of Summer Ritual

#1, Drive to Kirkland’s Waterfront, and quaint downtown.

#2, Struggle to pick favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor.  Love the store, because you can get samples first! (and maybe get three scoops because you can’t decide!)

#4, Walk down to this little slice of beach between businesses on Lake Washington…carrying the cones, holding little hands, pushing the stroller.  (and that was just Julie’s work!)

#5, Enjoy the ice cream.   Savor the flavor, the sun, and summer fun, one last time.

#6, Watch ice cream melt on the babies, who can’t take their eyes of the water

#7, Play in the water, throw rocks, and collect feather, shells and rocks

#8 beg to bring home shells and rocks

Goodbye Summer.  Rest in peace, we will miss you.

*That was yesterday.   I also threw my back out, creating a huge backslide in my health.   Last day of summer vacation.  :(
